Is the Audio Bible free?

Yes. Audio listening is completely free and contains no ads. Because the voice comes from your device's own speech system, you do not need to install another app or sign up.

Does it work without internet?

Partly. You can install the site's pages for offline reading (as a PWA), and read-aloud uses your device's own voices. If an offline voice is installed on your device, you can listen without internet; however, some natural "cloud" voices need a connection to work.

Which translation is read?

When listening in Turkish, the site's own translation, the Kadıköy Kilise Translation (KK), is read. On English pages the English translation is voiced. You can change the translation from the reading page.

How do I follow the verse being read?

While listening, the verse being read is highlighted on screen and scrolled into view automatically, so you can listen and follow the text with your eyes at the same time.

The voice sounds robotic — how do I fix it?

If several voices are installed on your device, pick a more natural one from the voice menu while listening. The "Natural" voices in Microsoft Edge or the enhanced voices on macOS/iOS usually give the smoothest result.

Audio Bible — Listen to the Bible

For those who would rather listen than read: in your device's own voice, free and ad-free. Open a chapter, press "Listen", and each verse is highlighted on screen as it is read.
