Verse of the Day — August 6, 2026: Mark 10:27

27 Jesus, looking at them, said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God.”

World English Bible (WEB)

Some days we reach the edge of what effort, skill, and good intentions can do. We cannot repair trust on command, undo a wound quickly, or quiet the weight inside by sheer discipline. That limit can feel humiliating, but it can also become a clear place where we stop pretending to be self-sufficient…

The rich man and the cost of following

A chapter recounting a wealthy man's question to Jesus about eternal life and the obstacle his attachment to possessions raises, with teaching on riches, sacrifice and true wealth.

At the Closed Door

Some days we reach the edge of what effort, skill, and good intentions can do. We cannot repair trust on command, undo a wound quickly, or quiet the weight inside by sheer discipline. That limit can feel humiliating, but it can also become a clear place where we stop pretending to be self-sufficient.

Sometimes that moment appears in something ordinary, like staring at a difficult email and still not finding the right words. The real obstacle may be deeper than language. Fear, guilt, or the need to control the outcome sits underneath it. In that pause, faith can look like releasing the burden we cannot carry alone and letting God hold the part beyond us.
